Winter Simmer Pot

Dec 02, 2023 | Taylor

Winter Is Here

It’s that time of year where the candles come out and the house smells of all things winter. However, how can you make your house smell nice when some people can’t use candles or plug ins? Let me introduce you to the simmer pot This old tradition is fast, simple and will fill your entire home with an aroma that you don’t want to live without this season.

Ingredients:

1 tsp- 1 tbsp Vanilla Extract

1 Orange

3 Star Anise

3 Cinnamon Sticks

The Process

First, fill up a large pot with warm water.

Next you are going to cut up the orange into slices- this does not have to be done at a specific size.

Once the orange is cut place all of the items into the pot along with the vanilla extract (amount is optional).

Bring water to a boil and let simmer for as long as you would like. After a while the water will evaporate, add more water as desired and let it simmer all day.

Keep It Going!

The longer you boil your simmer pot the more the water will evaporate. Don’t worry! Just keep refilling it!

Your home will smell spicy sweet all season long.

Give it a try, and see for yourself.

Cheers!
